Article on Gotland hoards

Nice article on Gotland's treasures published in CoinsWeekly a couple of weeks ago. Interesting pictures and the map of the hoards is intriguing.

    Interesting article. Thanks.

Two thoughts come to my mind from this: (1) no FDIC; and (2) I wonder if Tolkien based his Dwarves (in part) on the people of Gotland.

How does one get a hater to stop hating?

    Thanks for the article!

    True hoarders/stackers.

“But as opposed to the trader-bankers from Italy, they didn’t invest the money they made this way in counts, but rather buried it in the ground.”

Wow, so much buried treasure on a small island. They must have been fierce warriors to have such a society. Peace Roy
