Is your set complete Dan?
You've got more acrylic there than I have in all my cards combined!
I notice you also collect Quikrete bags? Nice.
Yes sir! Well, these things are never complete but the original goal of PSA 9 or better was reached finally at the end of November with the acquisition of Jackson Todd lol
I’d love to see others!

A Beautiful 78 set. I remember your pursuit seems like it began 10 years ago! Did any one of the 9’s come from rips we did years back?
It began 15 years ago haha but I quit to raise kids for 11 years or so and finally finished it off recently. Yes, many cards in this set are from those good times!
Who else? I know you’re out there!

Wow! That is impressive, sir.

That’s awesome, congrats. I do love the 78 set.
Here's my 56 Topps set captured soon after completion in 2012. There's something deeply satisfying seeing all the slabs neatly stacked in piles.
Hell Yeah! THATS what I’m talking about

Beautiful sets guys! Although not as nice or as big as your guys’ sets, I self submitted all but the Will Clark and received all 10’s ripping a couple of cases purchased from BBCE a few years ago. I still have them.
I subbed a bunch of Clark’s that I pulled and couldn’t get anything higher than a 9. I just gave in and bought a 10 on eBay after awhile of not being able to make one.

The sets just keep getting better and better.
If I ever complete a set? I'll be sure to post.
If ya wanna see bulk?
I should take a pic of a stack of T3s I have - think of all the "crylics" that gave their lives for those holders!
Wow that’s cool! Are the highlights a separate issue by Donruss or a subset of the main issue? That would be a huge subset. Awesome!

Good morning Dan,
It’s a separate 56 card Set issued in its own cardboard box...Donruss made these from 1985-1987 as separate boxed sets. Then in 1991, they were issued in series 1 and 2 wax boxes as “bonus cards”. For the years 1985-1987, these were wrapped extremely tight in cellophane bricks just like factory set cards were, and the cardboard boxes used to House the sets were very flimsy. I’m almost done with the 1987 Set as well, but it’s been a trying process. Card #1 Juan Nieves, and #56 Checklist card always have crushed corners due to the tight cellophane. I’ve purchased many cases thus far trying to make 10’s of those two cards and so far couldnt get higher than an 8 on Nieves and a 9 on the Checklist. I hope someday I can complete it...haven’t started 85 or 91 yet...I have a lot of 85 unopened laying around and just haven’t busted any yet. With submission rates going up, now I’ll really have to scrutinize these as anything less than a 10 isn’t worth it...
Jimmy
Modestly sized (only 30 cards), but complete!
Jimmy, that's an awesome set. Congrats. I hope you the bookend cards someday.
Andy
Lousy pic Dan
But you can see the proportion - this is just 25 holders!
Here is my 1979 Topps Hockey set. Goal is 9’s or better and while the set is complete the goal is not. Currently all 8s or better. Have about 25% left to upgrade.
Kevin
Pretty cool Mike. There's something satisfying about holding those jumbo slabs while looking at the cards.

Thanks for looking

Sweet 1954 set Jeff, what grade is the Aaron?
It is just a plain cardboard box reinforced with tape. But it holds my entire 1961 Topps master set. I really should put one of those sweet PSA storage boxes on my birthday list.
Nicely stored Jeff and the key cards look incredible - a set to be proud of buddy.
Hiya Phil - the box works.
Are you talking about those "black" storage boxes? I got a used black box from Pat at BBCEx to hold something and thought it was pretty nice - they'd look nice neatly stacked on a shelf.
Hello Mike. Yes, just like the box Jeff has for his beautiful 1954 Topps set. I need something that can hold over 600 cards (all those variations). I'm fine with the reinforced cardboard for now. At least if I ever get burglarized the burglar will hopefully overlook the ugly cardboard box.
Epic pics in here! We all need to see them! Otherwise, why the hell are we doing this LOL

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
Thanks for sharing! Don’t see stuff like this often. And #3 on the PSA Set Registry with a 68 year old set .... SICK

Here's a couple more sets of mine. Complete 1970's Topps Milwaukee Brewers run and the 1967 Topps pinup set. The pinups are very large in size as can be compared to the 12" floor tile.
Thanks again
Jeff
The pelican cases modified for use with graded cards are awesome. Unfortunately you're not going to find one to store 600 cards. You'll have to split it into 2 cases. In the photo below the 2 cases on the top hold 250 cards each and the monster on the bottom holds just over 400. I've not seen one bigger then that. These things get quite heavy too when they're all full of cards.
Great sets so far in this thread!!
Jeff
Sweet ‘78 Topps Molitor rookie in the Brewers ‘70’s run! That had to be a tough finish. So many tough items... and WOW those pinups could double as roof tiles!

Here’s my complete 1978 Topps Basketball set.
Eighty one PSA 10’s and the rest 9’s
I took these photos awhile back for the thread on how people store their PSA graded cards. I use old Air Jordan shoeboxes. My 1975 Topps set is complete with an 8.42 GPA. It fits inside of 4 boxes with a couple small stacks left over.
I did not get the set out for new photos. As it is a 660 card set, it looks just like the stack of acrylic that softparade displayed.
I also have a couple of smaller complete sets. One is the 1964 Topps Giants set. Being only 60 cards in the set, it fits inside of one Rockport shoebox.
Here they are laid out.
I always intend to go back and upgrade some of the cards, but get sidetracked on other pursuits.
I also have a complete 1970 Topps Super Football set. I just have these sitting on a shelf in 2 stacks. It also could use some work to get the grades more uniform, but other things always take precedence. I love the Unitas, Sayers, and Simpson, though.
@countdouglas SICK setness!!!
