    Is your set complete Dan?

You've got more acrylic there than I have in all my cards combined!

I notice you also collect Quikrete bags? Nice.

Yes sir! Well, these things are never complete but the original goal of PSA 9 or better was reached finally at the end of November with the acquisition of Jackson Todd lol

    I’d love to see others!

A Beautiful 78 set. I remember your pursuit seems like it began 10 years ago! Did any one of the 9’s come from rips we did years back?

It began 15 years ago haha but I quit to raise kids for 11 years or so and finally finished it off recently. Yes, many cards in this set are from those good times!

Beautiful sets guys! Although not as nice or as big as your guys’ sets, I self submitted all but the Will Clark and received all 10’s ripping a couple of cases purchased from BBCE a few years ago. I still have them.
I subbed a bunch of Clark’s that I pulled and couldn’t get anything higher than a 9. I just gave in and bought a 10 on eBay after awhile of not being able to make one.

    Good morning Dan,

It’s a separate 56 card Set issued in its own cardboard box...Donruss made these from 1985-1987 as separate boxed sets. Then in 1991, they were issued in series 1 and 2 wax boxes as “bonus cards”. For the years 1985-1987, these were wrapped extremely tight in cellophane bricks just like factory set cards were, and the cardboard boxes used to House the sets were very flimsy. I’m almost done with the 1987 Set as well, but it’s been a trying process. Card #1 Juan Nieves, and #56 Checklist card always have crushed corners due to the tight cellophane. I’ve purchased many cases thus far trying to make 10’s of those two cards and so far couldnt get higher than an 8 on Nieves and a 9 on the Checklist. I hope someday I can complete it...haven’t started 85 or 91 yet...I have a lot of 85 unopened laying around and just haven’t busted any yet. With submission rates going up, now I’ll really have to scrutinize these as anything less than a 10 isn’t worth it...

Are you talking about those "black" storage boxes? I got a used black box from Pat at BBCEx to hold something and thought it was pretty nice - they'd look nice neatly stacked on a shelf.

Hello Mike. Yes, just like the box Jeff has for his beautiful 1954 Topps set. I need something that can hold over 600 cards (all those variations). I'm fine with the reinforced cardboard for now. At least if I ever get burglarized the burglar will hopefully overlook the ugly cardboard box.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.

The pelican cases modified for use with graded cards are awesome. Unfortunately you're not going to find one to store 600 cards. You'll have to split it into 2 cases. In the photo below the 2 cases on the top hold 250 cards each and the monster on the bottom holds just over 400. I've not seen one bigger then that. These things get quite heavy too when they're all full of cards.

Great sets so far in this thread!!
