6000th Post? Felt like I needed to post something special ...

My subset of 1933 Sport Kings including only World Golf HOFers

My second copy of this one once I decided to target this subset in PSA 4.

This one will be upgraded when the right copy comes along.

My second time getting to post this today B)

My most recent, a raw pickup that I finally got back from grading this week. I'll have a real hard time parting with this one unless a spectacular 4 shows up. Other than the lower left corner, this example hits my eye just right from a bold coloration and centering perspective.

Though I'm not targeting it, two of these are on the 'Top 200 Sportcards in the Hobby' registry set (Bobby and Babe), so that's pretty cool.

Outstanding. Babe's cards command quite a premium. Yours presents beautifully for the grade. Any other '33s on the want list?

Only if it's a reminder to straighten up my Jones scan or see if that's scanner gunk on Sarazen's upper lip. ;)

Thanks, I love them too. If I didn't already have a few hundred projects in the pipeline, it's a set I'd enjoy tackling.

33s, yes, I'm still missing one of the Ryan back variations from Phillips Who's Who In Australian Sports. ;) Sport Kings other than upgrades of these four, probably not, but I'll never say never. Tarzan or Duke would probably be my next two if I decide to expand.

Thanks, Nick! My eye is getting better. Hopefully my T218 subset is one of the next few I wrap up (T51 is only one shy after my next poppage) ;)

    Congratulations Kyle.

33SK's are super cards - I like the colors and the action shots of the subjects.

But, more importantly, I'm gonna thank you for being a really good guy that I've known for some time and you've always brought something positive to the table buddy.

Mike, I appreciate the thanks on the cards and especially the personal, but the last bit highlights that you don't wander over into Sports Talk too often :D

That Gene Sarazen is really nice. Unless I'm missing something,
better than most 4's and 5's I've seen of any card. The "SPORTS
    KINGS" are a real challenge.

Who do you need in the T218 set? I can take a look through my raw doubles for you. Would love to send them to you if I have them.

Congrats Kyle on # 6000!!! Those SK's are pretty sweet. I have always wanted to add a few to my collection. This just might get me to pull the trigger.

Nick, I have them all raw, but targeting the 5-6 range for the following:
    Alex Smith SGC50/4
    Fred Herreshoff (2.5)
    Gil Nicholls (1-2)
    Jack Hobens (3)

I've got two golfers already there:
    George Low PSA6
    Findlay Douglas PSA6.5 (self sub)

It's been pretty slow going looking for upgrades. If you happen to have any of these guys C52s, I'd happily pay for those in any condition.

Kyle, my T218 dupes are definitely not 5 -6 range, and I don't have any C52s at all. If I did though, your money would have been no good here. :)

That didn't last long, but if the clock was a split second quicker my Boilermakers may have gone all the way. Carson Edwards was unreal in that game taking big boy threes.
