1854 Half Cent
A no-question uncirculated piece that was discovered in a farmhouse located in the Berkshire region of Massachusetts.
The color is shown accurately in the photo. There is some dirt on the obverse and a spot near the date. I have not tried to remove either. The coin had been stored in a paper envelope that has resulted in the luster being subdued a bit.
Perfect for a type set.
I grade as MS62........$HOLD

1811 O.111a Bust Half Dollar PCGS AU55/CAC - late die state, PCGS #28181943
The toning is medium to deep antique grey on the obverse, while the reverse is pale gold and has plenty of luster. Surfaces are smooth, and there's some weakness in the reverse dentils and eagle’s left wing which is typical for the late die state. Original!.......$1400

1819/8 O-101 R1 Bust Half Dollar NGC AU details
The NGC assessment is disappointing since I thought that this piece would straight-grade despite some evidence of a slight disturbance in the area of Liberty's cheek. It is not a "typical" cleaned AU50 coin. It was probably dipped once, but is still a very lustrous slider UNC coin with no hairlines. The coin doesn't look cleaned, and the photo shows its appearance just about the same as it looks in-hand. It has very pretty original album toning at the rims, and the luster is strong on both sides. If you are looking for a high-grade example of the 1819/8 overdate, then this one may be for you. I grade as AU58. Wholesale bid on an MS60 is $2000........Make an Offer

This coin is from Downey's Fixed Price List sale of Feb 2014 where described as:
"A brilliant uncirculated coin with vibrant luster, plucked from a collector's type set album during the recent FUN show. A few wispy slide marks on the cheek. A narrow ring of colorful, iridescent toning runs along the obverse border, inside the stars. The upshot is another early date with exceptional eye appeal. "

1873 Trade Dollar UNC cleaned
Uncirculated, but with an older cleaning. The coin is nicely toned and looks better than it appears in the pic.....$700
