Release the 1988 Topps Football Jumbo Box Kraken!

This 60 lb beast sitting in my office contains a case of 12 1988 Topps Football Jumbo Boxes wrapped by BBCE. I bought this case a few years ago from a local coin dealer that had it in his back storage with a bunch of 1988 Topps Baseball cases. I finally decided to bite the bullet and send it to Steve. The cost of the case, shipping, wrap fees, and low end nature of the box made it an average financial decision at best, however WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO WITH A SEALED CASE OF 1988 FOOTBALL? It's not like Vinny Testaverde is going to come back and win a Super Bowl.

Steve told me the case seal was good but I told him not to tell my anything else about the boxes. I do not know if they are clean or X-out boxes. I also don't know the condition of the boxes. The case itself was in generally good shape with no major damage. There was a heavy layer of embedded dust and writing on the outside that looked like inventory markings. I didn't see any water damage, so hopefully they aren't moldy.

I'll post pics of the boxes once I open it. Hopefully they will be clean non X FASC boxes.

Here are the pics. I opened the box on the back of the SUV, the case is way too heavy to take upstairs to my office. I included a pic of the writing on the case. The boxes are non-X and are FASC. The Jumbo Box has 24 cello packs with 40 cards each (39 base cards and 1 glossy insert). Each box has a whopping 960 cards vs 540 for a wax box. The Jumbo cellos are wrapped loose like a rack pack. I know 1988 isn't the greatest year but I do love Bo and I don't see to may jumbo cases.

I know the next question is do I plan to sell any of the boxes. The answer is Yes but I still need to do the math. I haven't decided on the method yet but I will probably spread it out over different channels.

Thanks guys. I debated posting this because it may look I'm trying to pimp out the boxes. I wasn't really concerned about selling the boxes since they speak for themselves. The case had been sitting in my office for years like the Rock of Gibraltar. It was too big and heavy for the storage rack, so it just sat on the floor. I was going to sell the case "as is" on ebay (or here), but decided if I was going to bother to pack it up, might as well send to BBCE. I guess that is what they call "First World Problems"!

The hoarder in me gets that special feeling when I see a stack of BBCE wrapped FASC boxes sitting on the floor. I have a lot of things going on right now so it may take a few days to come up with a price.
