1985 Topps standard and Tiffany (Collectors' Edition) sets

The standard set notoriously had poor printing. Out of all the sets in the 1980s it has the lowest percentage of cards grading PSA 10.

Is the printing on the Tiffany set any better? Are the colors brighter?

This set has been notorious for yellowing.

I had just noticed over the weekend that the SMR price for a psa 10 Cal Ripken was like $350 so I
figured I might have several candidates since I opened a wax case in 85 and put the star cards in
binders. Lo and behold, out of around 22-23 Ripkens they were pretty much all off center top to bottom.

The 85 Ripken is notorious for print issues, as well, including many of the cards having a big vertical line on his right leg.

there seems to have been quite a resurgence for the 85´s, both regular and Tiffany. the regular topps Mcgwire in PSA 10 is up to around $800 or so dollars now! A Tiffany recently sold for $4500
