Grading Question

So I recently picked up this 62/63 Gilles Tremblay card, and had a question on how the yellowing of a card affects the grade? Thanks!

Wish I could answer your question but I pretty much grade modern. I'm not sure how yellowing affects vintage.

I believe PSA will let this kind of toning slide.
It is very common on PH cards.
I have many that are nice grades and have that toning

PLease keep in mind I am not grading this card and offering an opinion based on experience.
PSA may have a diff opinion.
If you do send in I would request no negative qualifiers.

    What are negative qualifiers?

Toning has NO effect of grades, qualifiers is when there is a fault with a card such as off centred more than 65-35 top to bottom or side to side,a card that is miscut as a bad cut from the factory ,print defects which is rare or wax stains or gum residue that is seen at the front or back of the card stock, look on Ebay for examples of qualifiers especially the 1968 OPC cards.

Okay that makes sense; what does it mean to request no negative qualifiers?

The submission form should have a check box for "qualifiers" like MC, OC and so forth. A card could receive a grade of PSA 8(OC) which means the card otherwise meets all criteria for a "PSA 8", except for the centering. If you asked for "no qualifiers", it will probably receive a grade of "PSA 6" or whatever the grade should be which reflects the centering issue.

I actively collect Kirby Puckett. I have collections of Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Roberto Clemente, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver, Errict Rhett and Evan Longoria.
