Way to go, Swan! I love your set! I'm looking forward to when you get the pictures up too. Just watch out, I'm #5 and as soon as I win the lottery, I'm going to pass you up
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing it with us. Hope you provide images some day too.
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
What amazes me is that the lowest graded coins are a 1793 Liberty Cap Cent in XF-45 (only 7 upgrade coins in population) and a 1797 Draped Bust Half Small Eagle in XF-40 (only 21 upgrade coins in population). All other coins grade AU-50 or higher. These two pieces alone show how hard it is for the Type collector to put together a magnificent set like this. You have to fight series collectors and other Type collectors for a handful of pieces in existence.
Wow!!!
Looks like you've got a good start on your set too.
I'm curious, what happened with the 1852 3CS? Did you try for a higher grade. You said it went from MS63 into an AU holder.

Greg, did you get to see any proof gold? Like a proof Indian Princess or Stella? I guess it really doesn't matter which coins you got to see in person, any of them would be great!
Thanks Swan, that made my day. And you can make many more days for us by posting images over time.
My wife bought me the 3-cent silver for my birthday last year and I put it in my type set book, cracking it out of the slab. A year later I decided to only go for PCGS Slabbed coins so I sent it back in to PCGS. I was very careful not to spend it , but it still must have got some wear from somewhere, where I don't know.

The complete US set looks great. Both your set and HD's are national treasure level collections. Images are excitedly anticipated.
I just had quad-bypass surgery so ANA is out this summer. Hope to see you in Baltimore this fall.
