Lowell Quarter Lowest Mintage in 5 Years

WALLEWALLE Posts: 253 ✭✭✭✭

I was looking at the mintage numbers for the 2019 Lowell quarter and was surprised to see how low they were.

P 83,600,000
D 87,800,000

In 2014 the Great Smoky were

P 73,200,000
D 99,400,000

Wow, only 80+ million from each mint. Think I'll corner the market on these babies! ;)

This really is surprising to you? Is there some reason we should buy rolls of these? Gotta let me in on the skinny here, my friend.

Starting in 2012 they have minted anywhere from 150 million to 400 million of a P or D

    Overall decline in coins/currency.

    Plastic is taking over.

Still will be a need for hard coin/currency but a lot less.

These are nowhere near as low mintage as the first 2 or 3 years were.

Only 73 million collectors can have a set of these! Let the hoarding begin!!!!!!

    All glory is fleeting.
