To answer your question, determine how much you would pay for it (after you educate yourself on Indian Head Cents)?

Your answer about how much you would pay for it is likely the answer to "How much can you get for it?".

Make sure to post it again in a month..... it might be worth a million by then.

Might be worth more if you can get it right side up

It's a common circulated example that's only worth a buck.

Seriously? It’s the L061 variety. Surely it’s worth $2? And don’t call me Shirley.

This is wrong and unhelpful to a new person. Yes, the OP has asked similar questions about other coins that really are worth 1c but you could just ignore him if you think he’s trolling.

I agree with the 50c-$1 estimates and the suggestion that you buy a Redbook.

A dollar. Worth putting toward a paper version of The Red Book of US Coins.

50 cents? Isn't a solid circ indian worth about a buck at this point?

Call me crazy but I like to see both sides of a coin before I place a value on it.

If you want to get the best answers, post both the obverse and reverse of the coin and crop and properly orient the pictures.

Circulated examples of many coins can be said to be worth what someone is willing to pay. That can be based on both rarity and condition.

I was in a LCS last week looking through some 90% when a man came in asking to look at some Indian heads. The owner showed him a tray of them and said they were $1. each. If that man finds one in there, better than the rest, and buys it for $1 but goes on to sell it on eBay for $5.,he just made himself some profit by cherry picking.

The point of that story is that value is subjective, but the grade of your coin is something you can somewhat narrow down with the right pictures and help from the forum. And with that grade you can then hopefully get the most value.

    Hope this helps!
