1944 mercury dime with a crack?

Hello. This dime has a crack on the reverse that goes almost all the way around. I thought it was a hair at first. Looking for more information on it and curious if it has value beyond melt.

True, after closer look, some of the “crack” is over the letters, some of it stops at the letters

    Album glue?

What’s worse is the seemingly intentional pockmarks on the obverse. :/

I believe it was lacquered for some reason or another, the same effect can be seen on the obverse.

On thing to look for is the smooth, curved shape of the "line." DC's are microscopically squiggly - even the straight ones!

Maybe was epoxied at one time, for jewelry or other use, hence the best up obverse?
