So these were privately sold to someone else for $20 more ? Why was I not afforded an opportunity to respond to your revised price ? Would it not have been ethical and reasonable to have given me 24 hours to respond to your higher price ?

Bump for those who would want to know about this circumstance.

I hate to jump into a mess of a situation but is there some written rules or laws that the seller has to take your offer? Seems best to let it go and avoid the seller or maybe I don’t know the whole story. But judging from your post count you have been here many years so you obviously know more than I know. Sounds like the seller whom I recognize the post name knows the other side of the story. But it was a nice looking pair and I am very sorry you did not get awarded the coins. Have a great Sunday.

I can live without the coins if the seller can live with lack of integrity. My response was not a spontaneous offer. It was a confirmation of the seller’s asking price, which they responded to with a claim of “wrong price”, then almost immediately sold elsewhere for $20 more without offering any opportunity for me to consider the higher price. Certainly gives a very poor impression business wise.
