    Very sad.

He was and will always be The Franchise. Prayers to him and Nancy.

It sounds like he is still living a decent life inside his own world. Having visitors and working in the vineyard. Hope that gets stretched out as long as possible.

You cannot be a baseball fan and not be a fan of Tom Seaver. Great pitcher and class act all the way.

First I've heard of this and very sad to hear it. If there is any good news about this, there are some hopeful strides being made with medicines and other treatments to lessen or even possibly stop dementia.

Wishing Tom the best and as much good luck as possible fighting this disease.

Ran into Tom many times in Calistoga and St. Helena. Always and I mean ALWAYS stopped to talk ball or vines.Haven't seen him in awhile. One of my favorite all time pitchers. Except as a Giants fan when he beat out Ron Bryant for the Cy Young in 1973. Smart vote looking back.

perfect example that every day is a gift---don't sweat the small stuff--look to your left and right and there will be someone suffering more. God Speed to Tom Terrific and his family

Sorry to hear. My dad has been suffering from it as well and has been bed-ridden for the past two years now. Its not something you want anyone to ever have to go through.

I actively collect Kirby Puckett. I have collections of Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Roberto Clemente, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver, Errict Rhett and Evan Longoria.

So so sad. My mom had it and passed away. I pray they find a cure.

This hits close to home for me... my Dad is only 70 and we're about to place him in an assisted living home because he has dementia, which has pretty much turned into alzheimers now. It's hard being two states away from him, especially now. I've always liked Tom Seaver, but I'm thinking about becoming a collector of his now.
