Ever have "non" buyers remorse?

I'm not talking about wishing you could go back and buy tons of 2011 Topps Update or 2000 Playoff Contenders. I'm talking about knowing in the present time that you should pick up a card before the prices get out of hand. Case in point is the 1992 Bowman Mariano Rivera. This was one of the cards that while he was still playing I told myself I should pick up. Never did. You could easily get a PSA 10 for under $200. Now you're looking at $400+. What are some of the cards you knew you should have picked up but never pulled the trigger and now you're regretting it?

An Aaron Judge rookie auto for $40, buy it now, which I hesitated to pull the trigger on. This was way before the record breaking season he had. Ugh!

I missed out on picking up many rare 90's inserts. at the time I was working on 60's and 70's PSA rookies.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Frequently I see a fairly priced card I want on eBay and put on watch list waiting for a coupon. Often lose out. Most times I’m ok with that but last week I should have pulled the trigger and have been feeling cheap for last couple days.

    I could name a bunch.
Some many years ago like bonds rcs when really low. Clemens 85 Topps 10’s at $150 or so. Recently Luca before the nba season started. More UD and Donruss Griffey rcs about 3 years ago. More 85 Topps baseball wax when they weee $75 a box. The list goes on and on

An Aaron rookie SGC 7 from a collector friend of mine - the front was gorgeous and my obsession with card backs kept me from buying it (centering and chipping on the green border). It started really going up in price right after I passed on it. Most of my favorite cards are from him so I try to focus on the ones I did buy and not the ones I passed on. But that Aaron keeps being a regret. I actually look at the photo from time to time and torment myself. Here it is cropped to remove the cert since it isn’t my card.

Someone on here offered 2 boxes of KISS series I and II for like $700 total about a year ago. Thought about it, decided not to and regret it ever since

I can still remember 1956 Mantle's in PSA 8 was around $1,300 to $1,500 a few years back. I was so tempted but nerves got me and never purchased. Same thing with 1955 Koufax PSA 7. Cards were way cheap compared to today.

Back in 2002 or 2003 a dealer offered me a 1952 Mantle SGC 5 for $6500. Where is the way back machine? I was just married and built a house...and couldn’t justify the cost.

Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Tom Seaver, Mike Schmidt, George Brett, Bob Gibson, Lou Brock player collector

Brutal. But I’m sure the benefits of your house value far exceeds even that of a ‘52 Mantle.

2009: taking a pass on a '48 Jackie Robinson PSA 6 for $1300. That one hurts the most
Circa 2010-2011: taking a pass on an SGC 88 '48 JR for $7500 Buy-it-Now. Double ouch

SGC 92 T205 Ty Cobb from teletrade in like 1998. Went for I think 5500ish. I bet it's a $150,000.00 card now. Just looked in the SGC pop and it is no longer even there. I wonder if it is in a PSA case now. Or are old SGC lables not included in the pop? Hmm

    1. '15 Cracker Jack PSA 3 Joe Jackson, the last card I needed to finish the set. Passed as I was holding out for a centered 6. Prices went thru the roof, Jax was out of range, and I sold the set without finishing it.
    2. '33 Goudey Lajoie PSA 4. The last card I needed to finish the set. Friend offered it for rock bottom price ($10K) and said he'd send it to me and I could have 2 years to pay. Didn't want to borrow money for cards, didn't want to owe a friend. Card shot up to $25k, out of my range, and I sold the set without finishing it.
    3. '09 T204 Burkett Square Frame. As it turns out the last card I need to finish the set. Friend offered it for a low price, and plenty of time to pay. See above. Still have the rest of the set, but haven't even seen one offered since
    4. '52 Topps Mantle. One of a few high numbers I need to finish the set. Friend in number 2 card above offered me a PSA 3 for $5k, friend in #3 above said he'd find me a better one for the same price. Then those other guys started manipulating the market and prices shot way up for all '52 Mantles, and I'm sticking with a low number set.

It's the ones that got away that haunt you.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

Sold my beautifully centered '54 Aaron BVG 4.5 for $600 I think it was about 2013 to raise money for tires on the Jeep.
Figured no big deal; I'll upgrade in a couple years to a PSA 6. Never worked out that way.

Why does a thread like this bring up so many raw emotions lol
