Each die banged out thousands of coins , damage would probably get pretty advanced on smaller coins before someone noticed and switched it out , there is probably a wide spectrum of coins with larger and smaller blobs at that spot

You have a small die chip and maybe some die deterioration as well. Still not worth much more than 10 or 15 cents..
