Fugger

So, I decide that the next coin I want to add to my 17th Century German States sampler is an example from Fugger.
I purchased it from what I believe to be a reputable German dealer and the coin is somewhat weird. It appears to be silver plated and weighs a bit less than what I would expect a 15 Kreuzer coin to weigh. Needless to say, authenticity is a concern. Yet, the coin has a nice "ring" to it and most interesting (to me, at least) was an image of another 15K I found on line. In my opinion, the coins appear to have arisen from the same dies. So, I am taking this coin as genuine, maybe from one of the poorer German states. I do not know anything about Fugger, other than its name.

A medieval banking family. Controlled a very large portion of the
financial and mercantile trade. They also controlled copper and
silver mines, mostly in central Europe and also elsewhere.
