Howdy y’all! I went to an antique store today picked up a few cards from ‘68-79! All cards purchased were 1-3$, except the ‘74 Nolan Ryan strikeout card, I paid 8$ for. A couple have corner dings/soft corners, but I think I did pretty darn good! so without further ado:
‘68’s:
‘71 I think?
1972
1974:
1978:
1979:
I don’t know any of the ‘79 guys, but they look like they’re in good shape, Atleast good enough for 1$. Lol. Any tips and advice on what you look for or watch out for? I’m eventually going to have a few of them graded; i think some of them look grade-worthy anyways. Can’t wait to do this again!

Tim Jones RC! Besides one of the funniest looking RC pictures Tim pitched in 10 innings including a start and gave up only 4 hits and no runs. The guy has a career 0.00 era.
Put him in he HOF! Lol. Thanks for sharing!
These Kinda of pickups are a different type of rush, always fun,

My favorite HOFer is John Paciorek. He's definitely worth looking up.
Looks like you're having a good time Blaine.
Thanx for sharing.
I always look when we pass an antique store. Have never found anything tho.
Where you list "'71 I think" those are 1970's. A quick tip is to look at the stats on the back. If the last stat year listed is 1969 then the card year would be 1970. I would've paid the 1-3 bucks for the Brock and Buckner rookie. Let the antiques store owner know that if he/she gets anymore cards in to give you a call.
I am glad you are having fun with the hobby, that is what it's all about!!! Thanks for sharing
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
