Found in my pocket change

Pics dont do the nickel justice at all. I heard the silver quarter when she dropped change in my hand but the nickel stood out. Glad to have saved it from circulation. O and not my print on the coin.

Of the two, I would take the free silver of the quarter.

Too bad for Jeff he has to “stare” at the finger print.

Don't be surprised to find some proofs in your change. A large percentage of the recent issues have so little collector demand that they are simply being spent when sets are being broken up.

    All glory is fleeting.

Horrible thing splitting up a set, appreciation of coins seems to be going the way of society....my 5yo daughter saw the nickel and immediately said dont touch it with your hands, that gives me a gleam of hope....but was happy she got to see what happens when a coin is touched.

Haha he should be gazing into Lincoln's eyes still in its original holder.

  • The thing that i didnt click too until later on was i should have went back and bought all the coins from that register seemed like if there was 2 there may have been more.

I ended up getting a 1970 proof quarter in change a few months back. Didn't pay attention at first, but when I was going to put the change in a jar, it was so shiny that I looked at it and thought "I'll be damned", so it's in a flip.
