Well maybe a little, but a 500-coin auction is a blip in the bigger scheme of things.
In my opinion, it will reconfirm what the market is for top quality coins. First 24 hours we had $2 million in serious bids. Think about it, when do you see coins like Young Dakota or The Intense Cameo collection any more as a group-you don't.
Even though its only 500 lots, it has serious concentrations of different series in high quality. You can have a 4000 lot sale and maybe have one coin which gets lost.
It would be awesome to have another modern breakout like the Franklin.
I wish Legend Auctions still had shots of the coins in their holders like Heritage...
Some of the lots have images of the holder, at least the obverse.

I was going to say that I can’t think of a single time when the auction of a superb quality collection hurt the market, but then Pogue came to mind. Still, hard to imagine that happening this time.
