1812 110b Single Leaf

I am excited to have this officially attributed by PCGS with "Single Leaf" added to the holder. This is by far the crown jewel of my Bust Half collection...out of 149 examples at the moment. I am wondering how to get PCGS to remove one of the AU examples from the census as it is the same coin that was resubmitted.

    Congrats @Sean1990!

Recommend contacting CS in reference to adjusting the census.

Cool die state. Very few have been lucky enough to snag that one. Congratulations!

Q: When does a collector become a numismatist?

A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

A numismatist is judged more on the content of their library than the content of their cabinet.

Congratulations Sean on picking up a very difficult die state!

I’m still missing that one from my Capped Bust Half set.

    Are you a BHNC member?

Congratulations! I don't have that one either ... but I do want one!

Are you building an Overton set?

I am working on an Overton set and looks like I will be for the next couple of decades. I currently have 149 examples. Thank you all, I am very lucky and ecstatic to be able to have this in my collection. I currently have an 1813 XF45 O-109a at PCGS getting attributed. I really hope they give it the Single Leaf designation so I can have my rather esoteric 4 piecce set complete!

Sounds good ... have you considered joining the Bust Half Nut Club?

Very tough coin is solid vf grade. Congratulations are in order! I suspect population currently around 15 examples. At least half of those below vf and many damaged. One of three true keys to the redbook set, not yet listed in a PCGS registry set. Unlike the more controversial 1813 single leaf. A PCGS MS63 1812 single leaf specimen, the only mint state example and for that matter only one AU, shows the late, lapped die state without the leaf. One of my favorite varities of capped halves in the entire redbook set. Really nice pick up. Did you find it or pick it up from someone who knew what it was?

PCGS will change the information about the duplicate listing with whatever evidence you have.

Sean we would love you too consider joining the Bust Half Nut Club given your passion. We have a website under that name where you can find info, about how fyi apply. Many members will be envious (in a friendly way) of your new aquisition.

Thank you everybody! Looking at coinfacts it doesn't take a specialist to ID the AU58 and AU53 example as one in the same with the toning and pin scratch on the obverse. I actually joined the club last year as member #231 after years of only imagining I'd be able to become a member. It really has been a great club to belong too and an honor to be among so many other nute. The knowledge and comraderie is bar none!

@GoBust I did buy this already attributed in a O-110b holder. Definitely the most valuable coin in my set to date but worth every penny after dreaming of owning one for so many years!
