CoinFacts Comparative Image Database Update

In early January we decided to remove some images from the CoinFacts Comparative Image Database. We made this choice after hearing privacy and accuracy concerns from submitters and collectors of all shapes and sizes. After the announcement, our community came forward to share the overwhelming benefits that they experienced from using the CoinFacts Comparative Image Database when researching coins and educating themselves.

PCGS takes a great deal of pride in providing the best numismatic resources in the industry, whether it’s our seven mobile apps including CoinFacts, Price Guide, Cert Verification and Set Registry or the vast library of information we make available for free on our website, CoinFacts, and the forum. To hear that our community so valued CoinFacts images drove us to find a solution that solved both the privacy concerns and allowed for the creation of an accurate public library of coin images, something that no other TPG service provides.

As a solution to satisfy all parties, and through a suggestion from a member post here (who is a passionate collector), we have decided to link PCGS CoinFacts with the PCGS Set Registry. Going forward, all coins currently in public PCGS Set Registry sets will be part of our CoinFacts Comparative Image Database. If you own additional coins not listed in a set, you need only add those TrueViewed coins to your public Set Registry inventory and voila, overnight those images will get picked up by our system and added to the CoinFacts Comparative Image Database. Privacy settings can be changed at any time.

Today over 100,000 PCGS TrueView images are being added to the CoinFacts Comparative Image Database as a result of this update.

Additionally, to let everyone experience our TrueView imaging service and have an opportunity to add their coins to the CoinFacts Comparative Image Database, for the next 6 months the TrueView fee is waived for coins submitted for reholder service. Visit PCGS.com/trueviewspecial or see below for details.

For a limited time, Reholder submissions for coins up to $100,000 in declared value will be $12 (includes PCGS Gold Shield® and TrueView, regularly $17).

Don’t wait, all orders must be postmarked by August 19, 2019 to qualify.

NEW! Be sure to add your TrueView image to your public PCGS Set Registry® Inventory and your coin will automatically be featured in the PCGS CoinFacts® Comparative Image Database!

Have your coins photographed by the industry’s leading photography team and encapsulated in the latest generation PCGS holder.
