Hi folks, I haven’t posted here before, but still read now and then. I’m usually on the coin forums.

Anyway, I found this cool repeater while making the cash deposit and thought I would share. The note is pretty raggy but I dig the number. 69 is one of my favorites besides 13!😆

Now watch, I’ll be cursed with looking closer now and pay roll will take another two hours!

Not only is it a repeater but it's also a "flipper".You can turn it upside down and the serial number will read the same.Fantastic find.

Collector of numeral seals. That's the 1928 and 1928A series of FRNs with a number rather than a letter in the district seal. Owner/operator of Bottom Line Currency

Thats right! I hadn't realized that until you mentioned it. I like it even more now!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I know its not any "more unique" than any other serial number, but I still find it kind of interesting thinking about the numbers clicking along hitting 69 once, twice and yet again and then the final fourth time. 69 million 696 thousand 969 times. The note before and after just wouldn't mean much other than being a heartbreaker.....if that's how they even build serial numbers, I don't even know that, for all I know they skip around. Anyway, the numerology thing caught my imagination here with 69 being a horoscope, astrology, yin yang, thing and all.

Is this a thing ya'll do or am I alone in my OCD checking and slowing down a little while I count cash?

Another note I found one day was what I would call a real Heartbreaker. The 7 throws off this run of 5s. I still stashed it in my wallet because sometimes my buds would have a contest to see what bill had the best poker hand to determine who was buying the round. I figure this one would be good in that situation with all the 5s, hehehe. But the 69 repeater is my first real, good one.

I checked every bill we had on last payroll. I didn’t find anything worth setting aside. Kinda not just looking at serials but maybe a misaligned print or something. Almost a sickness.

I’m thinking as time goes by I’ll realize how special the note is.

    Thanks for looking everybody.
