Hey all, new member here with a question on a penny I have had for a couple years. It seems to has a false 'O' just before the of in U S of A. Just curious. I can post better pictures if need be.

Sorry, but that’s just damage from where someone tried to drill a hole through the coin.
Damaged Coin.

A pic of the reverse would be helpful as it might show distortion.
I agree with the previous folks who posted in that the "false 'O'" is the position where someone attempted to punch a hole through the coin or where something fell onto the coin and damaged the surfaces. Still, it's a cool coin.
