There are some solid shots in that set. I love the Dr. J and the Kareem. Good Luck!
Crazy how many Bullets are in the backgrounds.
It’s 100% bullets in the background from what I can tell. All the non bullets are wearing away jerseys. Looks like Topps went with a DC area photographer.
My understanding is that the Capital Centre in Landover MD had very good lighting and some kind of set up that made the photography look better. If you look at Topps hockey and basketball sets from that era they are dominated by pictures from the Cap Centre.
Collecting Topps, Philadelphia and Kellogg's from 1964-1989
Beautiful cards. It's a favorite set of mine. One of these days I would love to open up enough packs to put that set together pack fresh. Thanks for sharing!
I don't collect basketball and don't know much about it in that era, but those are some nice looking cards. That being said I do recognize a nice looking Dr. J when I see one.

Great vintage box. Can't offer any input on the back gum residue.
Thanks,

I always look forward to your threads. The chance for fire, floods, etc...It's like reading stories from the Bible. Lol
