Once again I had the good fortune to be able to acquire an MS66 upgrade for my Liberty Nickel collection. So, I would like to offer my 1899 Liberty Nickel in PCGS MS65 to the Board. This coin has the original Frank Thomas pedigree.
The coin is lusterous with light gold toning. There are no carbon spots that I am able to see. The coin has very few marks for the MS65 grade. The obverse strike is fine with all star lines being visable. The reverse strike is good except for the typical 1899 weakness in the left ear of corn.
I am asking $465 delivered. Here is a chance to own a somewhat better date type piece, in a white-hot series, priced at the level of a more common date like the 1903, 1905, or 1911.
PM me if interested. This is the only one available so the first PM takes it.
Scan now attached.
Thank you
Greg

However, in reality I am looking for a MS66 or MS67 just as you are!!!!
I just need one for my type set. Actually I would love a MS67.
This is two updates recently for you. I am sure you see the set creeping up on you, lots of 66's in that one.
Oreville, there are only 23 PCGS MS67 Liberty Nickels, of which 14 are 1883 No Cents. I have only seen two of the 1883's for sale recently and no With Cents dates for sale. Good luck finding one.
One of the things I have long known is that no matter how good you think your set is, there are other collectors with better sets. Since I have started collecting Lib 5c, I have learned of at least three other collectors with phenomenal collections. Maybe in five to ten years, mine could look as good, but there is a long way to go. I'm sure there are even better collections out there as well. Many of the real prime collectors don't register their sets. That doesn't bother me because, having a good set gets you in the fraternity where you get to meet some of these folks, and you really learn alot. The Richard Howe set looks great. If it is complete, it will be some time before I get to that level.
I believe that one of the 190x dates in PCGS 67 will soon be up on ebay.
