Bowed cards?

I have just recently got back into the hobby after about 30 years. I went to look at my 1964 Topps giants set that were stored in a collector's box during that time. When I got them out they were bowed. Is there a way to flatten them out and do no damage to them? What about value? Does it hurt the value of them being bowed?

Placing them in Card Saver IV's will take a lot of the bowing out of them. Underneath a stack of encyclopedias works too. There's no grading penalty for curled/bowed cards unless it causes wrinkles or creases to appear.
