Most notable missing a PSA 10 (Baseball

So what are some of the most sought-after psa 10’s that most collectors are going for? I know there’s no psa or maybe one 10 Ozzie Smith rookie, and, is it true there are no PSA 10 Nolan Ryan prior to 1980? What card are most of you anticipating adding to your collection the most?

One of the most notable missing PSA 10's is #302 Fernando Valenzuela from 1981 Topps. One that used to be a Pop 0 in PSA 10 was the 1978 Topps Nolan Ryan #400. That card is now a pop 3. For an overproduced 80s issue, 1986 Topps is a bear to submit high grade cards that would grade a PSA 10.

I would say the big 3 are probably, in this order for most elusive / highest sales price to lowest if they would surface:

    1973 O-Pee-Chee 1 All-Time H.R. Leaders (Ruth/Aaron/Mays)
    1976 Topps 19 George Brett
1981 Topps 302 Dodgers Future Stars (Valenzuela)

OPC HR leaders and '76 Brett would likely sell for relatively similar amounts, and Fernando would be a distant 3rd.

I'll edit my earlier post to say that I am referring to cards where there are zero tens. Obviously a 10 in a Ryan RC would be a huge hit. I'm also adding a qualifier that I'd keep the answer to main-stream issues and not oddballs. For this, IMO, OPC counts as main/standard issue, but Venezuelan Topps for example does not.

All Topps Nolan Ryan cards from before 1980 have a 10 except maybe the 1975 mini

Crazy that this is the case for cards being around as long as they have!

Ok, I'll start ripping some packs tonight to see if I can land some of these in 10s. BRB.
