Opinion on Hank Aaron autograph

I got this Hank Aaron autograph on an index card about 30 years ago by writing to him thru the mail. I can't remember the exact address I wrote to him, it was in Atlanta, I'm pretty sure. When I received it, I was skeptical that Aaron had signed it, for no reason other than that I considered it highly unlikely that he would ever sign anything thru the mail. But since it's his 85th birthday today, I was looking at this again, and so I thought I'd let you all have a look at the scan and with your expertise give me an opinion that could support or deny this being his real signature. The thing that jumps out to me is the slant and sloppiness of it. Maybe his older autograph was sloppier, but he's got a pretty nice one now. I'd be skeptical too.
