86 Topps Baseball Box rip- Great Cards; rough condition

I decided to buy a 1986 topps BBCE Fasc at the cars shop yesterday, which produced a lot of stars:

4 Pete rose (3 diff, one double)
4 Ripken
7 AS
2 Mattingly
And others

Painful to see gum stains on these:

PSA Dock pretty hard for gum stains?

Too bad the bottom of the box has a nice dent, That Reggie would be nice. Do I cut the others out or just leave it?

Overall the cards were in poor condition; gum/wax stains on the back of the cards, ink spots on almost all, and a couple cards almost seem out of focus. But still enjoyed this very much!

Anyways, first set of baseball I’ve opened since I was a kid, and felt amazing despite all the ink dots and gum stains!

Happy Sunday!

Always have a soft spot for '86 Topps. It was the first set I really collected.

Same. These cards would be better if they had the team logo on them.

    Still really sharp cards.

Fun! I love 86 Topps as well. Great to read about your excitement with the rip. 1986 Topps is notoriously a very very tough series for ripping gems. Black borders and lots of all over the place centering.

Always looking for tougher PSA 10's of Nolan Arenado, Alex Bregman, Mookie Betts, Francisco Lindor, and Mike Trout.

Yes, you’ll get hit with the ST for the gum stains. Set is very tough for GEMing. The Mattingly on the bottom looks very nice.

I’ve always had a hard time with centering on Brett and Clemens but have been lucky enough to pull a 10 Clemens. There used to be huge 86 Mets collector, not sure if they are still in the game.

    Thx for sharing.

    Thanks,

isnt the sandberg in 10 an exceedingly rare card? also there is a blue stripe clemens variation that could be underappreciated/undervalued

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
