Ian keeps hitting home runs. Consigned a group of coins a few months ago. Listed and paid quickly. Results were very good.
How soon after GC accepted your consignment were they listed?
Speaking for mine, I gave them to Ian at FUN on Friday and they were live last week.
Hmmmm. I gave a consignment of 25 PCGS coins to Ian on Thursday at FUN....and have yet to see any listed.
Hi -
We've already started listing consignments from FUN - and more will be listing on Monday and the Monday after. Can you please e-mail me your information - and I'll let you know precisely when they will list?
If we were sending any coins to CAC - those are not back yet - that will delay the listing by about 10 days.

Had a great night selling on Great Collections tonight. Two weeks ago, I sent a letter complaining to eBay that because of them allowing junk to be posted month after month and not imposing any incentive (time limit for listings or minor listing fees for long time listers) serious collectors are buying at Great Collections and average collectors like me are no longer selling coins on eBay because with fewer serious collectors, I get lower prices. I also stated that because of their policies, I must wait longer for my coins to be listed at Great Collections due to higher submissions GC now gets . To prove I was not just complaining, I sent them a copy of my GC submission acceptance. I know only some intern will read my letter and nothing will change - but I felt I just had to say something. Go Great Collections!

Agree 100%...I have two gold coins starting at GC today!!! I think GC only starts new listings on Tuesday or Wednesday...mine seemed to be a week slower than usual to get listed...but personally I attributed that to the holidays...no big deal either way...payment for my previous submission was less than 2 weeks....awesome!!!
Ian....the coins were not listed yesterday, but I see many are now listed with pictures pending. Thanks for the quick response.
This will be my first attempt at selling through Great Collections. As for buying....I have quite a few transactions with GC . Always a pleasant transaction. Coins are imaged well, and without any of that "fluff" language found in the big auction catalogs. As others have said, coins are shipped extremely quickly and for postage costs that if anything are less than I would expect.
Have you tried our new auction archive? Let me know how that works - you can easily browse by coin denomination/type/grade rate etc.
Regards,
Ian
I also have a really hard time looking up auction history. I think we are all so used to HA's super easy history and also Coinfacts. Coinfacts should also expand the history past 5 auctions.
Here's another reason to like Great Collections. They recognize my PayPal account no questions asked. Heritage will absolutely not allow my PayPal account because I don't use Master or Visa. True story.
Since we are making Great Collections Great again I formally request a OGH and gold cac look up option por favor

You can definitely do that today. That is why (assuming here) GC uses generic labeling on their listing: OGH, CAC, TONING, PCGS, NGC, NEWMAN, "*" etc. Its not perfect, but definitely narrows down the searching and all you have to do is go to a section you're looking at and you can type the above mentioned phrases into the search bar and it should only pull what you type in.

I tried but maybe not hard enough. I think I was looking for a “ boxes” to tick option

I've bought well over 50 coins from GC going back to 2016 and before. Some of my favorite coins in my collection have come from there and I pay on Sunday/Monday and my coins are delivered to my PO box (in New England) by Thursday/Friday of that week. Always happy doing business with them! I have definitely seen better materials, stronger prices and more bids over the last 6-12 months.
Extend the ability to view coins you won for more than the max of "1080 days" for those of us who have been customers for several years ...if your storage will allow for that.
Improve the "coin auction archive" search function or create directions/walkthroughs on HOW to successfully search for previously sold items because it is tough to navigate that (this is coming from a millennial).
Appreciate your business.
Good suggestion - we'll make this happen.
Have you tried our new auction archive? Let me know how that works - you can easily browse by coin denomination/type/grade rate etc.

Mr Feld already mentioned he is NOT representing Heritage here only his personal opinion.

I do represent Heritage, though I express my own opinions on various topics.
Previously, I was asked "So @MarkF do you Have to explicitly state that your expressed opinion is yours only and does not reflect Heritage?". And I replied "Thank you for the reminder. When expressing my personal opinion, I will try to make that clear."
Mark Feld* of Heritage Auctions*Unless otherwise noted, my posts here represent my personal opinions.
I sold 6 coins. The New Rochelle did better than expected. ($14,700) 2 did as expected. 3 were worse than expected. Overall, the top coin more than made up for the others. Nice experience and super easy.
It is becoming very clear that top end CAC coins will do well. Comparing GC to the other auctions, for the same coin last year, GC auction hammered $3000-$5000 higher. That is quite impressive!!
Question for GC buyers...how do you look for coins you want? Do you have a saved search? And when do you search....since coins can be added to an auction just 12 days prior, while some coins are in the search field several weeks in advance.
I have several saved searches (good tool, btw) and check the search again on the Monday before the upcoming Sunday auction.

I am working on two sets. It's easy for me to check on the "20c by die variety" set by, well, clicking on the Twenty-Cent pieces tab.
For the rattler proof set, I just type "1st gen" in the search bar.

As mentioned by @KindaNewish , I just go to the category I'm interested in (say commemoratives) and just look through all the options (usually it's fairly quick as there are 2-3 pages of items ending each week).

Having an outlet like Great Collections is perfect when you have a few dealers who simply won't pay you anything close to what your coins are worth.

I am culling my collection over this year and have decided to use GC. First time selling but I have been happy with my buying experience too.

It may not mean much to you, but I certainly enjoyed the stat!
My favorite place to buy is GC. Usually pick up something each week.
