"El Cazador" or "The Hunter" Spanish treasure ship recovered 8 reale set.
Includes two legible date 1783 silver 8 reale piece with a COA.

These piece were recovered from the El Cazdor, which had been sent by King Charles III of Spain from Mexico to New Orleans in
January 1784, loaded with approximately 18 tons of freshly minted silver coins. El Cazador was never heard from again until 1993, when a fishing trawler snagged a net full of silver coins just 50 miles off the Louisiana coast.

El Cazador recovered 8 reales exhibit dramatic "Shipwreck Effect" with pieces often unrecognizable. Both of these pieces have legible 1783 dates.

There is a small 1.5" crack in the bottom edge of the plastic display case.
