Is there anyway of knowing when a set was first posted?

Pat yours was started on 3-1-01. To find the date go to the Sets complete listing and find the set you are interested in. Then go to the far right where the Grade Point Average is and click on it. The date the set was started will pop up.

Before the Registry was computerized it was published in a booklet and distributed to the current Registry Members. The same set of my 50-piece Silver Commemoratives (The Overland Trail Collection) that was published in 1999 was graded and encapsulated by PCGS for free. At the time 10 or 11 of the coins were NGC and all crossed over at the same or higher grade. Since it was the #2 set and 100 percent complete it also earned a pedigree. All the coins came back with new holders with consecutive numbers. The set is still in the Registry and it has been upgraded over the years and the rank fluctuates in the mid twenties. Only about 20 to 25 coins remain from that original set holdered back in 1999. Did anyone else take advantage of PCGS's offer in the early Registry days?
