I did not even really want this

but at this price I can't see how I went wrong. A 1972D Washington Quarter PCGS MS67. The PCGS price guide states $135.00 and it has a pop of 95/0. Even after S&H I am only paying $40.13. Any comments? Is this really the going rate for one of these?

1972D MS67

I snipped it at the end.

Bill: Very nice buy. I sell them between $75-$100 in PCGS-MS67. By the way, I currently need that quarter date in PCGS-MS68 and will pay $2000 sight-seen ($1500 sight-unseen) if anyone can "make" the first coin in MS68. image Wondercoin.

  • Wondercoin,

Odds are this will be back on Ebay soon (maybe).

  • wwbillman,
I should have kept the s&h at the rate i had- instead of reduced rate due to having that 1972-d going to cheap, Ha HA!! kidding!! image I knew that one went to cheap! image good going! I figured $50.00 to $75.00 range. You have been sent e-mail invoice.

  • cladmaker,

I was wondering if the seller was a board member. Thanks again for the reduced shipping that brought it under $40.00 total. Paypal payment has been made and the funds were drawn from my bank account so you will not have any credit card fees.

Thank You very much, at least you did not end the auction early like a lot of people would have.

  • Bill,
Will e-mail when i ship it tomorrow. I just let the coins run. some are winners and some are loosers.
Usually they will end up at somewhat fair market price (whatever that is on moderns!!!) image

My 1972-D PCGS-67 quarter sold on Teletrade on June 12th for $33. Hope this helps. Seems to be an easy one to make in 67.
  • Teletrade is not a good tool to use when assertaining a coins fair value.

Teletrade has somewhat of a bad reputation and most of the coins sold there are of pretty poor quality and the prices realized reflect that.

I have been selling high grade moderns on Teletrade for at least 12 years. They are not any better or worse condition than any other PCGS 67, 68 etc. The 72-P quarter that sold recently follows about a dozen in 67 that I have made over the last 2 or 3 years, I think the market has been flooded with this date.
