made the acquaintance with a coin crusher?
it looks at first look like some serious PMD
although, I have some coins which look not just that bad (but close) and are not PMD.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life

Your coins that look close to that and are not PMD. Would it be possible for you to send me some photos. 85% of my learning progress need to be look at. My eye as it is, feed all the informations to my brain and help me understand quicker and better. P.S. Cause of my car accident. If it to much of a privacy for you, it's ok I understand.

I have another coin that is twisted but not damage like the 1968.
    Thanks for your time ,

I think that it either spent a great deal of time in/on a gravel road or a Walmart parking lot.

One thing that will help you immensely is understanding the minting and die making processes. When running across a potential mint error, the first you should ask yourself, "can this occur at the mint"? It's obvious that there is absolutely no possible way for way for your coin to leave the mint like that.

The following sites have information on the minting process and errors

    Wexler 's Doubled Dies
Error Reference - edited by Weinberg, Diamond and others

These are iS based sites but nearly all of it pertains to Canadian coins as well

if you're going to search for errors, make it your goal to learn about the minting process. Then you'll be able spot the real errors and not waste your time trying to identify damaged coins

    Best of luck

The OP has been advised more than a few times to do just that ... to understand the actual minting process and what a real "error" truly looks like. References have been provided previously to him on different coin sites.

I have posted a 1953 NSF with a curious lump on the shoulder. Can you take a quick peak at it. Thanks
