Beginner Material on Upswing

With all this talk about the bad coin market I thought I would share some good news from my little pond. One thing I do is create beginner sets - crack up proofs and sell a decade set of halves or cents etc. I figure with this I have a fairly good pulse on the entry coin market and I can definitely say it has picked up considerably. I’m selling lots of this material to new collectors just getting into the hobby. Considerably more than I sold through the first quarter of 2018. I know some series are dead but the new blood is coming.

    I agree alot of my business is beginner stuff and intermeadate stuff and it has been great! I also find that along with selling the coins, giving a new collector a little advice to help him or her collect what he likes helps alot as well
