Post mint damage or planchet flaw on AH1271 Tunisia 5 Piastres?

5 Piastres piece from Tunisia. Dated AH1271 (1855).
There are nice die cracks on the reverse but there's also a gouge or flaw at 7 o'clock near the rim. I believe it's a planchet flaw and not post mint damage or environmental. What do you think?

Looks like a strike through flaw to me. The metal around the depression looks undisturbed, suggesting it was caused by foreign matter being caught between the die and planchet during striking.
Not 100% sure but I also lean toward strikethrough.
Does look like a strike-through.

Does appear to be a straight down strike on something hard like a fragment of die. Who graded and slabbed it?

NGC MS-61, no mention of the strike through on the label. I think you all may be right about the strike through instead of planchet flaw.

IIRC an error designation needs to be identified on a submission and there is an extra fee. Perhaps the submitter did not do that.
Yup, @Stork is correct. I've had strike-through examples certified over the last few years and if you don't pay the mint error fee, the error is not indicated on the holder.
Here's a struck-through wire example i have in the set that was also not called-out on the label.

I guess I would think that a TPG would contact the customer when the examiner sees the error, to notify the customer and ask if he wants it noted on the label for the additional fee. Too much to expect? I don't think so. Thinking about when my car is at the dealer for a service and the mechanic finds a problem. Peace Roy

They may have (I've been called a few times..'do you want us to send this to NCS ' type of thing). Submitter may have flat out declined. I checked, it's $15.
They do call (not always, though) if there's a problem and they believe sending the coin for conservation would increase chances of it grading.

Happy to hear PCGS and NGC are finally getting along

Hey we were talking about an NGC slab. I'm sure PCGS is the same.
I see a strike through at 7 o’clock on the ribbon, but am I the only one who sees or thinking 🤔 the corrosion or crud in and around the bow has been picked on with a pin something?
