Question for Specialist regarding $10 Indian Set

GazesGazes Posts: 2,315 ✭✭✭✭✭

Specialist---in this week's market report you mentioned you picked up a PCGS $10 Indian CAC 1908 D Motto for a collector you call Hedgie. You stated that this was the #2 $10 Indian set. Is this collection on the Registry? If not, what collection is #1? Thanks

Simpson #1 . hedgie #2-not on registry yet. unlike other braggards we do not like posting sets in progress. As you see-we still get the rarest and toughest coins

The Hedgie set is 100% complete. It is 100% ALL CAC ALL PCGS.

Thanks for responding. The registry set lists Simpson #1 all time but not on the current list. Does Simpson still have his set? Also, I understood that the Tyrant Collection had a $10 Indian set--do you know how it compares to the Simpson and Hedgie set? Thanks

Braggards? I think it is cool people share their collection or info about their collection. If the collection is 100% complete I guess it is not on the registry because it is still in progress? I will guess Simpson is not your client?

    Anyway... lol

Smart, but let’s be careful not to give braggarts a bad name.

A collection is for the owner to enjoy-not the public all the time

I hope you will take the time to seriously think about what you just said. While a collection is certainly formed for the enjoyment of the collector, without those who have shared info in the past, great collections would not be possible.

I think the point is that collectors do not "owe" the public completely transparency into their collections at all times.

Never said they did. But not allowing photos? What's next, they demand Heritage and SB take down theirs after they buy?

At what point should collectors be expected to give up a teensy bit so that future collectors can learn and perhaps buy the coin at a profit to the present owner?
