Flat, shelf like. Machine doubling
Looks like a turkey... trying not to be someone’s dinner.
It is doubled, good eye. But, it's not a doubled die. The die was just fine and the doubling happened during the striking or ejection of the coin. This is a quite common occurrence and does not add a premium to the value. If you look at the doubling you will see that it looks like a stair step would look. Flat and even. Die doubling would look nothing like this.
