2018 lincoln die brake

    That's a nice find. Apparently that part of the head was a place where Lincoln Cent dies often broke.

    The reverse has spots, as if, someone sneezed or was talking over the coin.

    Those are due to the cool final mint wash they’ve been using since about 2004. Some years are so spotty they’re worse than early 1970s original bank rolls. 2009s were awful.

    Thanks @thevolcanogod for the information. Would have thought the mint would have solved the process with some type of improved wash filter.

    The only thing I see is a minor difference in the hair that looks like PMD. What am I missing here? Are we talking about a die chip or a die crack?
