Do the same rules apply regarding large and small beads on a 1965 proof dollar?
The dollar in my set is small beads. As far as I can tell.
Also the dime has very strong cameo. Would it be better to break up the set?
Sorry about photo quality. Pictures taken through cellophane. Had to use older camera.

Your dollar is IMO NOT small beads.
It appears to be large beads, pointed 5
the size of the beads is determined on the obverse.
Perhaps if you post better images where the surfaces are clearly visible without light reflections, we might be able to better identify this 1965 dollar as to exactly which type ( of the 5 known) it is.
