FYI. An investment in CLCT stock yesterday open would have turned you an almost 9% profit today in about 32 hours
Seems to be making a recovery of sorts.

I don't have anything in my collection anywhere near bullion price, so nothing there, but many of my customers who have been hoarding for years who didn't get out at the top last time, will get out this time, and for less than 50. most I believe are in the 35-40 camp. between the few that I know confidently, id guess somewhere in the 40-50k oz that will be dumped locally.

I am one of those of whom you speak, jdimmick! I was on a Project in North Africa the last run up, and recal telling a friend of mine I had about a bag worth of junk silver that I would love to sell if I could at the time. It was then just over $40. at that Ittime.. I
They will go this time if the price gets close to $40!

I would sell my silver eagles and other coins that have little collector value.

I bought silver way back when in the single digits and then sold most of it in the teens and low $twenties. When Silver was roaring and in the high $30's, low $40's I considered taking out a home equity loan (my home was fully paid off) and buying a few thousand ounces. :s

I can't believe I just admitted that. I didn't do it, but I considered it. That is the power of a mania.

    Beautiful perspective! Great comment.

I suspect there would be no shortage of buyers. Herd mentality.

Thats the crazy thing. At our local coin show in Knoxville, TN when silver hit its highs in 2011ish it was standing room only of buyers @ $42 an ounce or whatever. On the other hand I was dumping all my junk silver left and right trying to get out while the getting was good.

The plus side to all the chaos was being able to get some pretty sweet deals on slabbed coins. The local dealers were making so much $$ on flipping 90% they would cut deals on slabbed coins I was interested in.

I sold much of my low-end stuff, including all my silver proof sets, when it hit the last peak. After it went back down, I found a bunch of stuff I had missed, not junk, but I would have dumped it. I remember the good old days when I turned down a few bags at $4/ounce...ugh!

I can't really do anything with that stuff for a few years yet. At least, I think that's where I am.
I'm at that 'bubble' age where income affects my social security. Although it has to be 'earned' income. I'm not sure where bullion would fall.

i seen silver at 50/ounce or close twice in my lifetime, the 1st time I was about 7 years old and just started collecting, 3rd time would be a charm, but it is not going to happen

I bought @ $18 and let a bunch go @ $40. Sold most of it to SeaEagles and then felt crappy about it when it turned south! Not selling again unless I actually need the money. Making a profit off of someone else didn't feel good.
