I really don't get the TPG's 'questionable color'.
I have always thought that most brilliant white old (MS and circulated) coins have been dipped and most old toned coins have been played with in some fashion or another.
I really think it would be much better for everyone if the TPG's would judge toning color on whether it is 'market acceptable' or not, rather than trying to determine if the toning is natural or artificial.

Used to be in an N64 slab. Now it's P-Gen-92-Cleaned. I collect CT commems, and I confess that I cannot find any evidence of cleaning on this coin. Yeah, it's blast white, but with nice skin, cartwheel luster, typical die polish lines...
This coin is the one that convinced me that my CT set should be TPG-agnostic. No more crossovers! ;-)

Maybe someone cleaned inside one of the reeds on the edge?
I call that graded after lunch on Taco Tuesday

Great looking problem coins my coin brothers and sisters. Very nice indeed.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice looking trio!
It would be nice if the graders would point out where the corrosion or counter damage was. Those coins all look mighty fine!

I don't own this one anymore but our hosts said questionable color... I suppose it was, but it sure was a knockout in hand.

Such a beautiful steel blue tone ...... with the stars stringed around her
The most common questionable color in the hobby is “blast white”.
That said, the TPGs have to draw the line somewhere I guess.
Not quite terminal but I am loving it ...... very PRETTY on top of my Post-it at the office
This was a problem coin for a time. In between the NGC slabbing and the final PCGS slabbing, it sat in a Genuine Planchet Flaw slab.

That's a lovely Bust Half right there. Glad you got it in the right slab.

Surfaces show microporosity, but it's not terminal and I like the details, oh... and it's a clipped planchet too...

As I've owned it before when it was in a older NGC holder as MS62BN.

Smitten with DBLCs.
Cleaned, but the strike is good and price was right.
@liefgold
If that's a good strike it must have been a terrible year in Charlotte. Looks real weak to me. I am a novice at these, though.
This one counts I think...

Actually that Charlotte mint product was one of the worst struck dates ever produced there. Believe it or not that is a good strike!
