Like palladium short... but feel it will travel the Platinum highway soon enough.
Anyone have an idea why palladium has soared
I read China stock piling for auto pollution control.
100% Positive BST transactions
It has more industrial uses, it's more finite than platinum as it's mostly a by-product of other metals, and there is more speculation in the space (read: there will be a correction in the price eventually). I put an article up I saw a while ago, I bought some earlier this year and I'm glad I did but I see the time to unload is coming up, if not here already.
People have been saying it is the time to get out of palladium since it hit $800. Keep on stackin'
Ummm. More upward movement today.
Palladium parabolic?
A Poll of sorts:
What will occur first?
Palladium at $1400 or the release of the mid engine Corvette?
Maybe on paper. good luck selling it at that price.
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

The mid engine corvette lost. But, the Supra is near.

Soon to be $2000.
I saw it at 1410 this morning. I immediately thought of this thread.

Time to buy a futures contract, I have been on the sideline for too long!
ounce of rhodium soon.
I rarely sell because almost everything I have I like and want to keep. I do get excited to see the metals rise and don’t get too concerned when they fall. I do have some maples and Eagles and I’m happy that I bought when I did.
Going to make the 2019 palladium coin stoopid expensive this year at this rate.
I see no reason why palladium can't be $15,000 an oz
Supply is super tight, and if metal is outflowing from vaults pall might be the first one to expose the paper game.
Buckle up, you've been warned
It's all about what the people want...
I think I can fit all of your Palladium into the back of my SUV; let me know how I can secure that role.
Flowing from vaults or otherwise.
I have heard it claimed that all the world's mined Platinum can fit in the trunk of a car.
From CNBC:
Palladium surpassed the $1,400 mark for the first time on Thursday, as demand for the auto-catalyst metal overtook its availability in the market, while gold edged lower as the dollar gained on better-than-expected U.S. jobs data.
Spot palladium gained 2.28 percent to $1,390 per ounce as of 2:13 p.m. ET, having earlier hit an all-time high of $1,434.50, and rising more than 10 percent so far this month.
"The palladium market is laboring under production-consumption deficits," said James Steel, chief precious metals analyst at HSBC.
Adding to palladium's appeal were policy initiatives to help support demand that were unveiled by China, the biggest auto market, Steel said.
The price of palladium, used mainly in emissions-reducing catalysts for vehicles, has jumped more than 70 percent since hitting a trough in mid-August. The metal overtook gold in price terms for the first time in 16 years late last year.
"We are seeing steady buying in modest amounts; just no supply and no one willing to sell because you don't know where it will stop," said Tai Wong, head of base and precious metals derivatives trading at BMO.
that's the beginning of bubble talk
From what I understand, for every 15 ounces of gold mined, only one ounce of platinum is mined, but only two grams of palladium. Am I understanding that correctly?
Platinum is 15 times rarer than gold, but palladium is 15 times rarer than platinum.
