Hello! I've been haunting these boards for a couple of months now to pick some free numismatic education and finally wanted to extend my greetings since I will be posting my first registry set of early Jefferson proofs in a matter of days. Still several coins to upgrade, but, we all have to start somewhere, particularly with a budget the likes of mine! There certainly is no need for Mr. Wohlforth and Mr. Corso to worry. I hope I can join you from time to time for some discussions. It seems like a great group of fine numismatists hang out here ... Regards, Randy

I look forward to another proof Jefferson collector. Perhaps someday there will be enough of us to petition the US Mint and other powers to change the nickel design. I think that would bring new interest into the proof Jeffs. Also I could stop buying new ones
Pura Vida!
Please have some Fun here as this is a Great Group of People Full of Knowledge and Heck even Humor Shows some of the Time.
Yes You can call Me Mr. Fairlaneman.
Ken will do though.
I'm a relative newbie myself. Nice group of collectors here.

NICKEL TRIUMPH 750...EARLY PROOF JEFFERSONS
One can really learn alot by being here. Also some of the best deals happen on the B, S, & T board.

Enjoy your coins.......

There are both MS and Proof sets so I see little need to combine them. Especially considering I don't collect those MS ones Frank Corso would be #1 all time finest in that set, particularly if it included varities...
Sit back and have a great time here, throw in your opinions when ever you have one, you already know we are all just here to have a good time (well some of us are...lol)....and watch out for MR. Fairlaneman, he might get you converted to those little ladies (and I will too), but his are all dirty.....mine are bathed then slabbed....lol....(just kiddin)
No joke, glad you sit up and joined in.....

Carl & Co., aside from the two reverse varieties, are there enough proof varieties to warrant a separate set? There are plenty of proof Jeff double dies (witness the 39 listed by Fivaz & Stanton and fine new DD book by Wexler and Ribar, which I highly recommend), but they are fairly obscure.

It was worth the Try anyway.
RGL enjoy the Boards and the Nickels.
