The coin has the attributes of 1801 T-1/O.102. Tompkins corrected the emission, as this die marriage came first in 1801, the reverse die was much better than used on T-2 which had rust pits.
Why would the dealer or collector leave thousands on the table by not getting a PCGS grade? What @habaraca stated and/or other issues probably kept it out of a slab. Nose is worn flat, EF 45 details.
BE is not right, along with the rim above it.
I like it. Toning on the obv exergue is interesting. I'm at XF due to face and cloud wear IMO. Peace Roy
