1882-CC PCGS MS65PL CAC Morgan Dollar: $750

The CC mint dollars dated 1882, 1883 and 1884 are far from rare, even in gem condition. However, when pursuing PL or DMPL examples, the search for available specimens is reduced by about 90%. Another order of magnitude reduction takes place when considering CAC approval. PCGS graded 423 82-CC in MS65PL and CAC has approved a scant 38 with 21 higher, all MS66.

This coin is fresh from a local collection and sent in for grading once. It is blast white, intensely lustrous and exceedingly eye appealing. It is very high end for the grade and sure to fit into a collection that demands superb eye appeal and strict standards.
