So, I saw this coin the other day and found it extremely ugly especially for the price offered. Kinda of like a train wreck, I could not stop looking at this coin. In fact, I found it so ugly that I posted it here on this forum (knowing I would not buy the coin) asking if this was awesome eye appeal or butt ugly eye appeal. Everyone thought it was extremely ugly but also very, very cool.

I then started having second thoughts about the coin. There was a best offer option which I decided to try for. After I made the offer, I got nervous about posting the coin here on this forum and quickly deleted the images. The seller accepted my best offer.

I see at least 5 errors on this coin, and there are probably more.

GTG and Guess the errors. So, If you already know the grade, please do not guess, let others who have not seen the grade guess it.

Enjoy and everyone have a Happy New Year, Chris

It a psychologist could get a person to associate this image with any addiction: food, drugs, sex, I think you would have a 100% cure rate. :)

One of those "so ugly it's cute" things. I can see why you were attracted to it.

That is a nice and “what the heck happened” Kennedy!

Various die breaks, broadstruck, and the copper is exposed somehow. Can you have a doubled die on something like that?

    1. Double Struck.
    2. Broadstruck 2nd strike.
    3. Defective Planchet (Cladding).
    4. Struck Thru (Grease?)
    5. Split Planchet.

Cool find! I’m glad you got it!

These were my guesses as well, save for the last one which I did not pick up.

Obverse under the 9, is that a struck thru solid debris? Could it have been struck more than twice?

    What a great mess.

I'm going to guess MS64 because, well, why not? I'll also guess that JFK has a nasty case of sinusitis.

I agree with this. I also think it is MS64.

I completely agree that it is so ugly it’s amazing!
If I was into errors I would have purchased it too.
    Very cool

I must be the odd one here, but it actually doesn't look that ugly to me (minus the grease). I think it is neat.

The "obverse under the 9" is opposite of the reverse of what I was calling a split planchet. It's a small split from the rim above the "A" of "STATES". Struck thru debris at the 9 on the obverse would be what caused the split that is visible on the reverse. The split is also visible extending slightly from the possible "struck thru debris" on the obverse. (I hope I'm making sense. LOL.)

    I'm gonna say.....the grade doesn't matter!

It might matter if there were two of them, and you wanted to determine which was the best. But I just don't think you'll find another. ;)

Feels like MS62. Wonder what the PCGS label will say. Put everything in abbreviations? Or just list 2 or 3.

I'm interested in how the errors are listed too. I'm guessing it will pick the most dramatic error or two.
