Best way to disperse an old group of GSA dollars

A friend reached out to me today, his mother has a group of 6 GSA dollars that have been sitting in a closet since the mid-1970s. He gave me the dates, 1878 and 1880 through 1884, six in total, all Carson City. Based on his description these are white coins, no monster toners.
I’m trying to give them a better option then taking them to one of the local hotel silver buyers. I’d like to help them get the most they can, without personally taking the risk of listing them on a site like eBay.
Any suggestions on potential value, and the best venue for them to sell? Would a site like GC take these uncertified, or would they submit them in the original holders before auctioning? All advice appreciated.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

It’s impossible to value with out high quality photos. I would look for a trusted coin dealer in your area and have them take a look

I sold a similar group to a forum member this past year. He was paying a little more than dealers but less than ‘retail’, so it was fair to both parties.
Edited to add - these were all basic white coins that I estimated as 63s. I still have one coin that I feel is a lock 65 that I am not selling as a generic GSA.
Try the BST thread, I am possibly looking for an 80 and 81 provided they are disinfected and not covered with any of the nasty tone.
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

These are common coins that have demand. Dealers know exactly what they are selling for at the moment. Find a local dealer that is known to pay based on the current market and sell them to him. Don't waste time and money trying to wring every possible cent out of them.
Run of the mill GSA dollars are I the $150 to $175 range these days. Very thin margins. You can probably find a dealer paying $140ish. Risk free and quick. You might find someone on BST at $175.
GC. Sell average coins raw. Slab shot MS65 better. I'd stay away from the BST any offers you receive will be low.
I'd like to buy any at$150.
How much is that?
Great collections will get them graded (at a discount) for you and then auction them off. Great way to do it.
If you want to price them and sell on the BST that would likely work as well but you'd need to be on the low end for the values (per solds).
Ebay is not the risk you seem to think. They sell well on ebay and a 99 cent start would work just fine. Expect no more than $200 for the 2,3,and 4 if they are typical 63's. Then there is the fact that ebay and paypal charges you do sell so subtract 12% off the top. Or take the 12% off the top and sell on BST.... You or someone would have to compare and grade to be realistic on pricing on the BST.

Give or take a few bucks...
1878 - $450
1880 - $400
82,83,84 $175
These are approximates. Lots of dealers I do business with will buy common GSA’s for at least $175.
I know Fadetoblack buys a lot of GSA’s and would be fair.
P.S. blu62vette is a good and fair person to deal with too.
I would pay 1880- $415, 1881-$415 1884-$175
with PP. I pay insured tracking# postage or Fed Ex.
Isn't this a BST listing, as one member suggested a few days ago?
I sent you an offer higher than the numbers posted here so far.
To be clear, I don’t have the coins and was not looking for bids. A few of you have reached out via PM, I’m sending all of the offers to my friend as well as the option of consigning to auction. If the mods feel this should be moved to the BST forum because of the way the thread evolved I’m okay with that, it was certainly not my intention for this to become an auction.

Some of the offers your getting are quite fair, when they come in I pay 150 to 160 on avg, more for nicer, and 140 for dogs
these are the 82-84 dates

(How to boost my post count without really trying ).
A dealer’s online buying prices
BU 1878 CC $ PAY GSA (BOX/COA) = $525 ~ (W/O BOX/COA) = $490 ~ AU/UNC = $ 150
Finally some realistic pricing.
Fair to who?
So we'd still like to see some pics of them there coins.

Post pics and try selling them here !!!
generic GSAs continue to drop ,,,,,best bet is BST ,,,,,, dealers may low ball
Actually generics are up when raw compared to a year or so ago. Graded 65's and 66's are in the tank.
nice ones are more ,,,for lotto plays for 64 ,65 etc ,,, purchased a 81cc GSA lotto that graded for a 66 ,,,,ebay has many sold at circa $ 200 ,,,,,,couple years ago that would have been 225 -250, even higher
That $200 is higher than the offers posted here.
