1969 topps clear white back.

hello I just recently started a 1969 topps set. I noticed I have two pete rose batting leaders card #2. one has a pink back and the other has a bright white back. is this a variation card or just printing error. thanks

Without photos of your cards, it's hard to say. I put a 1969 set together around 2-3 years ago, and can say it is common to find the same card with different appearances on the back side.

These cards are not mine, but a photo pulled from eBay. All are card #2, and you can see the wide variances in color. Normal for this issue, and I don't believe any premium is assigned, however, I personally like the bright white backs the best.

I prefer the bright white backs also. 1970 Topps is like that as well - you can get backs that look really crappy or bright white.

No premium that I am aware of. 1969 Topps is a fascinating set.

Kiss me once, shame on you.

Non smoking vs smoking? That first card looks like a few packs a day.....
