I just noticed what may be a really cool No Bands Merc for sale and my March 2002 does not list the coin.
Can anyone tell me the population for a 1916 MS67 Merc. It is coin number 4904. I am guessing it is a pop 1 coin, but I thought I would ask for some help.
I am not sure if I could get together the $$$, but it would be worth thinking about.
Tks.

IMHO
It appears that someone upgraded a 66 to 67. In my March report there were 10 66s and zero 67s.
I guess 750 is high, but what do you think a pop 1 No Bands coin is worth? Bluesheet (an old one) is 665.
What do the rest of the Merc folks think... what is the value of this?
Obviously I have a higher view of No Bands coins than others and I need a reality check.
If I remember Correctly Don (Quattrocoin) bought a MS67FB 1916P for $750.00 from Heritage. That was a Few months ago and Since then the Merc's in High Grades from Dealers have risen quite a bit. I believe the Dealers are Playing the Registry Game with Classic Coins also.
The Blue Sheet has Prices in it that mean Nothing. Look at the Blue Sheet Price for a 1929S PCGS Merc in MS67. The Sheet shows a Price but PCGS has Not Certified one.
The 1916 may very well be worth the $750.00 but it just seems High to me.
As far as the NB coins. Many of them are so close that a Person would be Foolish Not to Buy them. High Grade Keys and Semi Keys are Great Buys in NB. JMHO.
